Option 1: Off-airport parking lots (best value)
Off-airport lots near DIA are located along the Tower Road and E 40th Ave corridor, 1–5 miles from the terminal. They are privately operated, consistently cheaper than on-airport options, and all include free 24-hour shuttle service to DEN.
- Canopy Airport Parking — From $9/day open-air, $18/day covered. EV charging, 5280 Club rewards program. Top-rated by travelers.
- Park2Jet Denver — From $9.99/day. Shuttle runs every 10 minutes — the most frequent schedule near DIA.
- Fine Airport Parking — From $10/day. Simple, reliable, budget-friendly.
- ParkDIA — From $11/day uncovered, $22/day covered. 7,500 spaces — rarely sells out. Best for peak season.
- WallyPark DEN — From $15/day. Fastest shuttle (5 minutes), loyalty program. Premium off-airport experience.
Bottom line: For trips of any length, off-airport lots save 30–60% over on-airport DIA parking. The shuttle adds 20–30 minutes to your travel day — a worthwhile trade for most travelers.
Option 2: DIA Economy Lot — $13/day
The DIA Economy Lot is located at Pena Station and costs $13/day. It's the only on-airport option that is cheaper than the garage — but it has important limitations. Walk-in only — no reservations accepted. Access to the terminal is via the A Line commuter rail, which runs every 15 minutes and takes about 5 minutes to reach the terminal. See the full DIA Economy Lot guide.
Option 3: DIA Covered Garage — $28/day
The DIA covered garage is connected to the Jeppesen Terminal. At $28/day ($6/hour), it is the most convenient on-airport option for travelers who want to walk directly to check-in. The first 30 minutes are free. For short stays of 1–2 hours, the hourly rate structure can be reasonable. For anything longer, off-airport lots offer dramatically better value.
Option 4: DIA Valet — $40+/day
DIA valet is the ultimate convenience option at $40+/day. You drop your vehicle at the terminal departures level and walk straight to check-in — no shuttle required. Best suited for business travelers on tight schedules or anyone with mobility considerations. See DIA valet guide for alternatives including off-airport valet at Canopy (~$29/day).
How to get to the terminal from off-airport parking
Every off-airport lot near DIA operates a free shuttle bus service. When you arrive at your lot, park your vehicle and either wait at the shuttle stop or call the lot's shuttle line. Shuttles pick up at designated areas near the lot entrance. At DEN, shuttles drop passengers at the terminal's ground transportation level (Level 5 of the Jeppesen Terminal). The ride takes 10–20 minutes depending on the lot's distance from the airport.
On return, call the lot when you land and retrieve your bags — the shuttle will be waiting or arrive within 10–15 minutes. Allow 20–30 minutes total for the shuttle experience when planning your airport arrival time.
