Step 1 — Choose your parking lot
For most Denver Airport travelers, off-airport lots are the best choice. They're 30–60% cheaper than DIA's on-airport options and all include free 24-hour shuttle service. Deciding factors:
- Budget travelers: Canopy open-air (~$9/day), Park2Jet (~$9.99/day), or Fine Airport Parking (~$10/day)
- EV drivers: Canopy — the only off-airport lot with EV charging near DIA
- Covered parking: Canopy covered (~$18/day) or ParkDIA covered (~$22/day)
- Holiday travel: ParkDIA — 7,500 spaces, least likely to sell out
- Fastest shuttle: WallyPark DEN — 5-minute shuttle, closest off-airport lot to terminal
Step 2 — Book online in advance
Go to the lot's website or use Windy Parking to compare rates across all lots at once. Enter your:
- Arrival date and time (when you'll drop your car off before your flight)
- Return date and time (when you'll pick up your car after landing)
- Parking type preference (open-air, covered, EV)
Pay online to lock in your pre-book rate. You'll receive a confirmation email with your booking reference number — save this.
Step 3 — Arrive at the lot
Drive directly to the off-airport lot on your departure day. Pull up to the entry booth, show your booking confirmation (phone screen is fine), and the attendant will direct you to your space. Allow 20–30 minutes total from lot arrival to airport terminal.
Step 4 — Take the shuttle to DIA
After parking, a shuttle will take you to the DIA terminal. Shuttles run every 5–15 minutes depending on the lot. Tell the driver which terminal or airline you need — most drop you at the departures level.
Step 5 — Return shuttle after your flight
When you land, call the lot's shuttle number (on your confirmation email) or use the lot's app. Most lots pick you up from the baggage claim level or a designated shuttle stop outside arrivals. The shuttle brings you back to your car — no charge.
What to bring to DIA parking
- Booking confirmation number (email or screenshot)
- Valid payment method (if not pre-paid)
- Lot shuttle phone number (saved in your phone)
- Photo of your parking space and row (for easy return)
