Cheapest Coors Field parking
Pre-booked LoDo lots are the cheapest path on Rockies game day. The lots closest to Gate A — the Sandlot-area garages on Blake — charge $30–$50 because they're a 1–3 minute walk. Walk 5–10 minutes from a Wazee or Wynkoop lot and rates drop to $15–$20.

Coors Field parking by gate
Gate A (LoDo side, 20th & Blake): The main entrance. Closest lots are Sandlot Garage and Coors Field Lot A. Most pre-bookable LoDo lots (22nd & Wazee, Union Station, Dairy Block) are a 5–10 minute walk west.
Gate D (20th Street side, Park Ave bridge): Better if you're coming from north Denver or I-25. Park-It on 20th and Coors Field Lot B are closest. Avoid this exit for the post-game escape — the Park Ave bridge gridlocks.
Pre-book vs walk-up savings
Pre-booking via SpotHero, ParkWhiz, or directly through MLB Ballpark consistently saves $10–$25 per game versus walking up. The official Coors Field lots (A and B) require pre-purchase through Ticketmaster or the MLB Ballpark app — you cannot drive up and pay cash.
- Sandlot Garage walk-up: $50 cash on a Friday night. Same spot pre-booked: $30–$40.
- 22nd & Wazee walk-up: $30 game-day. Pre-booked: $15.
- Coors Field Lot A: $40 pre-purchase only via MLB app or Ticketmaster.
Off-game-day rates
When the Rockies are on the road or it's the offseason, LoDo parking drops to standard daily rates: $8–$15/day in surface lots and $15–$25/day in garages. Hourly rates start at $3. The Sandlot-area garages reset to roughly $20/day off-game-day.
Best lots for kids and family game days
Family priorities: short walk, good lighting, easy stroller access, and predictable post-game exit. Top picks:
- Sandlot Garage — 2-minute walk, covered, attended; worth the $30–$50 if you're wrangling young kids.
- Dairy Block Garage — covered, well-lit, dinner options on-site for pre/post-game with kids.
- Coors Field Lot A — closest possible, premium pricing but minimal walk.
Post-game traffic escape: 16th St Mall vs Park Ave bridges
The biggest hidden cost of Coors Field parking is post-game traffic. Two main escape routes:
- 16th Street Mall side (recommended): Exit west toward Wazee/Wynkoop, take 15th or 16th to Speer Boulevard. Clears in 10–15 minutes.
- Park Ave bridges (avoid): 20th Street and Park Avenue West bridge feed I-25 north. After a sellout, these gridlock for 30–45 minutes.
If you're heading north on I-25, park on the LoDo side and take Speer to I-25 south, then loop. Counter-intuitive but faster.
Coors Field parking with dinner in LoDo
Combining dinner with the game is a Denver classic. Park once, walk to dinner, walk to the game. Best zones:
- Dairy Block — park in the garage, eat at Milk Market, 8 minutes to Gate A.
- Larimer Square — park near 14th & Larimer, restaurants on the block, 12-minute walk to Gate A.
- Union Station — park in the Union Station Garage, restaurants in the terminal, 10 minutes to Gate A.
Light Rail alternative (Union Station 5-min walk)
Union Station is a 5-minute walk to Gate A and connects to every RTD line:
- A Line from DIA — 37 minutes, $10.50 one-way. Fly in and go straight to the game.
- B/G/N commuter rail — from Westminster, Wheat Ridge, Thornton.
- C/E/W Light Rail — from southwest Denver, Lakewood, Englewood.
- Free MallRide — runs along 16th Street Mall, drops at Union Station.
Round-trip fares start at $3. After the game, Union Station empties faster than any parking garage.
