Hourly DIA parking cost (covered garage only)
DIA's covered terminal garage is the only on-airport lot with hourly pricing:
- 0–30 minutes: free.
- 31–60 minutes: $7 (first paid hour).
- 1–2 hours: $14.
- 2–3 hours: $21.
- 3–4 hours: $28.
- 4–5 hours: $35 (daily cap).
- 5+ hours: $35/day flat (daily cap).
For stays beyond 2 hours, switching to an Economy or off-airport lot saves significant money.
Why DIA parking costs what it does
- Captive on-airport pricing: the covered garage and valet have no in-airport competition. DIA prices accordingly.
- Off-airport competition: the Aurora market (Canopy, ParkDIA, WallyPark, Park2Jet, Fine, USAirport, The Parking Spot, Diamond) keeps off-airport rates at $9–$15/day open-air.
- Demand-based pricing: off-airport rates spike for Thanksgiving, Christmas, ski-season weekends. Book early.
- Land/labor costs: DIA's remote location adds shuttle and labor cost vs urban airports.
- The May 2025 rate change: DIA raised most on-airport rates, with the Pikes Peak/Longs Peak Economy lots moving to $10/day and the covered garage to $35/day.
Cost-saving tips
- Book online in advance — saves 15–30% off walk-up at every off-airport lot.
- For stays under 30 minutes (curbside pickup): use the free covered garage 30-min window.
- For stays of 2+ hours: never use the covered garage — switch to Economy or off-airport.
- For multi-day trips: compare Canopy, Park2Jet, and Fine — typically the cheapest off-airport.
- For RTD A-Line users: 61st & Peña at $8/day is the cheapest of any option.
- Stack a DIA parking coupon code on top of the advance-booking rate.
- Use the DIA parking calculator to project your total trip cost.

Per 24-hour period, starting from your entry time. So a 30-hour stay = 2 days; a 23-hour stay = 1 day.
Can I pay cash for DIA parking?
Yes — DIA pay stations accept cash, credit/debit, contactless, Apple/Google Pay. Off-airport lots all accept credit cards; cash policies vary by operator.
